Napster Going Porn?

Private Media Group has made an offer to acquire the Napster trademark and Napster.com domain. The Spain-based adult powerhouse plans to create a unique P2P community that would offer consumers of adult content worldwide the opportunity to share independent content for free as well as access top quality adult content at a reasonable price, according to a press release posted on their website. The offer still has to be approved by several interested parties relating to Napster's recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Earlier this month, a Delaware bankruptcy judge blocked the sale of Napster's assets to its chief investor, Bertelsmann AG.

Louisiana cop fired after getting "blown" on the job

In New Iberia, Louisiana, Civil Deputy Pat Domingues was fired after allegedly receiving oral sex on a public street, according to information released by the New Iberia Sheriff's Department. The department received an anonymous tip that the officer (in full uniform) was receiving oral sex from a woman while in his parked car. The board terminated Domingues' employment Thursday of last week, according to the local paper. Domingues, 65, denied he was having sex and said he met the woman while she also worked at the Sheriff's Office. The policeman said the woman flagged him over and he was helping her. Domingues wouldn't elaborate on what type of help the woman needed.

Chicago Tribune Fires Bob Greene over Teenage Sex Tryst

Chicago Tribune columnist Bob Greene was forced to resign from the paper this week as he admitted to a relationship with a teenage girl whom he met while on the job. In a letter splashed on the front page of the Tribune, Editor Ann Marie Lipinski said Greene, 55, acknowledged the relationship was inappropriate, and agreed to resign after he was suspended. Apparently, Greene first had sex years ago with the girl who originally met with him in his office concerning a high school project. Greene later wrote about the girl in his column. With syndication in hundreds of newspapers across the country, regular television appearances on shows such as "Oprah" and a series of best-selling books to his credit, Greene was one of America's better-known lifestyle columnists.

The Bard on Blow?

William Shakespeare is the undisputed king of sexy verse. But did the Bard smoke a bit more than tobacco whilst writing his famous prose? Reuters reports that clay pipe fragments excavated from his Stratford-upon-Avon home and of the 17th century period show conclusively that cocaine was smoked in Shakespeare's England. The results are somewhat surprising, as cocaine is not widely believed to have been used in the 17th century by the English. However, the idea that Shakespeare can now join Freud as one of the 20th century's most prolific cokeheads has proven amusing to many. Clearly, several randy verses can now take on an entirely new meaning in the knowledge that the Bard may have been a horny cokehead on a binge.

Lesbians get their own baby clinic in U.K

Europe's first fertility clinic solely for lesbians and single women opened this week on Harley Street. According to the Daily Telegraph, The Women's New Life Centre has been established to provide a service for lesbians and single women who want a baby legally. Predictably, far right organizations described the service as "revolting." Other critics said it was a worrying development in today's "babies on demand" culture. Many fertility clinics in the U.K and abroad have refused to treat lesbian couples, leaving them instead to come to private arrangements with friends prepared to donate sperm for DIY insemination.
