I was taking my girlfriend out to San Francisco's most-ballyhooed Chinese hole-in-the-wall restaurant, House of Nanking, in Chinatown, when I informed her that I needed to review a new Video Team release, Asia Noir 2: Rise of the Asianatrix.
 "I guess it's meant to appeal to those who have Asian fantasies," I teased her sarcastically before tearing into Nanking's trademark sesame chicken and sweet potatoes.
"Umm, isn't that, like, every guy on the planet?" she shot back, unimpressed. Being half-Indonesian, she didn't have much reason to feel threatened, and she wasn't.
I don't know about every guy, but I would say that it's not exactly uncommon. And while this predilection crosses almost every category of race, creed, culture, and religious denomination, it's no secret that there's a special chemistry that occurs between Asian girls and black guys (which also makes for exotic-looking offspring, as with hip hop temptress Foxy Brown).
A lesser known secret is how many people love watching cute, tiny, relatively demure (give 'em a break, it's not easy to look demure with a cock stuffed into your mouth) Asian girls impale themselves on huge black dongs. I have to admit that I find something intriguing in the aesthetic of these couplings, in the dynamic of the disparity between both skin color and body type.
To that end, Asia Noir 2 definitely satisfies. Director David Aaron Clark brings together the tastiest Asian tarts with some well-hung black studs for hot 'n' sticky action that sometimes threatens to get a little out of hand, adding to the excitement.
 "What are you trying to do, kill me?" purrs Chai Sun as she straddles a sausage.
Clark (reputed to be something of an auteur, who was just recently signed to Video Team) clearly understands the idiom, and even brings some of his flavor to the mix. I particularly enjoyed the way the camera often lingered on the faces of the performers, particularly the female ones. I wish more directors understood that a little anatomy goes a long way, and often it's just as hot to watch a participant's reaction to getting fucked than to see what's causing the reaction with lengthy, often boring anatomical views.
The scenes with Korean cutie Lucy Lee (the "Asianatrix" referred to in the title) also work very well, especially when she dons a strap-on to fuck the crap out of adorable Bamboo. Clark cleverly cuts between shots of Bamboo getting banged both by her black lover and Lee, alternating between the two pairings in a way that's rather fresh and inventive (and more importantly, sexy).
Clark has promised more videos along the lines of the Asian interracial theme (no doubt there will be an Asia Noir 3), as well as other forums for up and coming (!) Asian starlets. I'm looking forward to see what else he has in mind.
