 You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll switch sides Should a one-second kissing scene be removed from a high school play, so as not to ruffle parents' feathers? It should if it's a lesbian kiss, says the Vancouver School Board.  Students at Handsworth Secondary School were asked to remove the kiss from Broken Theory, a play they had written. This kiss was not the main focus of the play, but rather one character's dream of finally finding the perfect someone. The students oppose the censorship and the homophobia from which it came. Their approach to the play is one of exploration, tolerance and understanding. They are fine with the scene, so why aren't their parents and their school principal? The School Board has feels that the play needs to appeal to the entire community [read: but not the gay part] and that a lesbian kiss isn't suitable. As Broken Theory co-author Susan Rezai knows, "being gay is OK." Removing this scene only adds to homophobia.Many audience members found the play to be candid, thoughtful and wonderful. At a school whose plays often bring real topics like drugs and raves into view, it's surprising that a girl-girl peck on the lips could cause such a stir. The swearing which was initially cut along with the kiss was later allowed back in. Latin Lover says Enough is Enough Argentinian Cleto Ruiz Diaz, who lives with three partners, is campaigning for free vasectomies in public hospitals. He believes that it's the responsibility of both women and men to keep from having too many children. This issue has become a passionate one for him after the birth of his 37th child. School Girls Take One for the Team The school girl fantasy almost got very real for 21 year old Norwegian porn star Thomas Rocco Hansen. He had coaxed at least 26 girls into acting with him in an adult movie in order to raise money to trick out their party bus. The high school graduates found the porn film a fast way to raise up to £2,000 for a sound system and rebuilt interior for their bus, known as a "russebil." All but two of the girls were to be extras in the film, while two girls agreed to film sex scenes on their bus with the star.  The girls eventually decided not to take part in the movie. Perhaps it was because girls from seven other buses had agreed to join Rocco in a movie too. Apparently, sleeping with the enemy didn't seem so sweet. Down on the Job The Romanian consumer protection authority is in a conundrum. They must solve a case of a lame duck prostitute. Adrian Ionut Craciunoiu wasn't happy when he paid a call girl good money and in return received bad services and lesions. He got scratches because she was missing teeth. Craziunoiu made an official complaint for her poor service. Since prostitution is illegal in Romania, this is a tricky case. But a spokesman for the authority said that they would work with police to get to the bottom of it. Would the Better Business Bureau be so helpful?
